Disney Halloween costumes your children will love.
Many people were shocked and dismayed when it was announced that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party would be canceled this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. It was understandable, of course, but for those who celebrate everyone’s favorite ghoul-filled holiday at Disney World each year, it was disappointing news.
Not all hope was lost, though. Just recently, we went over a few events that would still take place for families and individuals who want to get their Disney World Halloween fix. That’s not the only way that you can celebrate this year! There are tons of Disney Halloween costumes for kids of all ages that can put them in both the Disney spirit and the holiday spirit. It’s impossible to go over all of the costumes that are available, but we’ll share several of our favorites below.
Classic Disney Characters
Any list of Disney Halloween costumes should definitely include the classic characters first. Although newer characters are often in the limelight because huge movies are being made about them every year, classics like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, Donald and Daisy Duck, Tinkerbell, Dumbo, and many others never go out of style.
Disney Remake Characters
Disney is definitely no stranger to remakes, but in the past few years, they’ve been remaking more animated films into live-action films. This has sparked renewed interest in characters from movies like Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Aladdin, Mulan, and even Lady and the Tramp. Have your children watch both versions of a film and then they can decide which character they want to be.
Disney Princess Characters
Every year, some of the most popular Disney Halloween costumes consist of the extremely famous Disney princesses. At this point, there are 12 official ones in total: Jasmine, Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Tiana, Rapunzel, Pocahantas, Snow White, Mulan, Cinderella, Moana, and Merida. Each of these costumes is absolutely gorgeous and your child will love being all dressed up.
Pixar Animation Characters
The collaboration between Disney and Pixar is perhaps the most beneficial and incredible coupling in all of Hollywood’s long film history. It has provided access to dozens of characters from films such as Toy Story, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, A Bug’s Life. Inside Out, Monsters Inc., and others. This allows for a wide variety of different types of characters from monsters and insects to toys and emotions.
Male Superhero Characters
Disney probably couldn’t have made a bigger deal that would allow for more Halloween costumes than bringing Marvel into their family. It’s really hard to know which male Marvel Disney costumes will be the most popular this year, but you can bet that ones like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Black Panther, Captain America, Groot, and several others will be chosen by children across the country and around the world.
Female Superhero Characters
One of the best things about Disney is that they’ve always pushed for more diversity. This means there are plenty of female Marvel Disney costumes, too. You won’t have to search for long to find ones like Captain Marvel, Spider-Girl, Shuri, Black Widow, She-Hulk, and quite a few others. Your little girl will feel super-powerful by donning one of these incredible costumes.
Star Wars Characters
Star Wars is easily one of the most treasured movie franchises of all time, with films spanning over three generations of moviegoers. Many kids continue to dress up as the classic characters such as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader, Yoda (and now Baby Yoda), Din Jarrin, and Chewbacca. Others may opt for newer characters like Rey, Finn, and Kylo Ren. No matter what they choose, however the Force will be with you them… always!
Various Other Characters
Given the number of movies and cartoons produced by the studio, there’s never a shortage of Disney costumes to choose from. Winnie the Pooh and Muppets, for instance, continue to be popular today. And more recent entries such as Judy Hopps from Zootopia, along with Ralph, Vanelope, and Fix-It Felix from Wreck-It Ralph have quickly become fan favorites. No matter what your son or daughter chooses to dress up as for 2020, you can bet they’ll have an absolute blast celebrating their love of Disney.
