Join SeaWorld between February 2nd to the 18th of 2019 to celebrate the Lunar New Year, which is celebrating the upcoming year of the pig. Here are some of the various events you can look forward to when you join in for the fun and festivities of SeaWorld’s Lunar New Year jubilee!
2019 Pig Garden
While SeaWorld knows that pigs are not aquatic creatures, they are certainly animals none the less, and 2019 happens to be their year. What better feature than a place where the guests and the pigs can play among themselves.
All the pigs in the garden have been adopted from a local shelter, and upon your visit, you will learn about each pig’s adoption or rescue story. There will be plenty of happy pigs ready for you and your family to make lasting memories with.
Along with the Pets Rule interactive pig feature, a show will take place, led by one of our many knowledgeable hosts. The said presentations relay consistently relevant information about creatures that you and your family may be familiar with, at home and beyond. The Pets Rule show aims to give guests tips and tricks on how to best care for their furry friends. As you may have guessed, the SeaWorld Lunar New Year Pets Rule show will have a special focus on pigs.
Chinese Acrobats
Part of the SeaWorld Lunar New Year festivities will include the Chinese acrobat group called The Chinese Acrobats of Hebei. This group has previously amazed crowds at the SeaWorld Lunar New Year festival in past years and have been invited back due to the explosive response they received. As the show is only 25 minutes long, even the youngest audiences shouldn’t get too antsy by the end. There is also an available area for reserved seating and contacting SeaWorld is recommended upon any interest in these seats.
Once you are inside, the representative acrobats will show you what bright lights the holiday is filled with. Their abundance of stunts includes chair stacking, contortion, hoop diving, and many more. Don’t miss out on this truly epic show!
The Festival Stage
During the SeaWorld Lunar New Year, the festival stage will be jam-packed with interactive shows for the whole family to enjoy.
