When Epcot first opened back in the 1980s, it was a modern day realization of Walt Disney’s dream of creating a city based on innovative technology and utopian ideals. Today the park has evolved into a place of technological adventure and advancement, a fun and fascinating amusement park full of fun and exciting attractions.
It’s hard to settle on just five attractions at Epcot to focus on, but here are our top choices for experiences you shouldn’t miss.

Must-Experience Attractions at Epcot

The attractions at Epcot offer something for everyone; let’s dive right in.

Spaceship Earth

Located in the iconic geodesic dome, this ride is a trip back in time and a chance to explore how communication has changed over the decades. It begins with the era of cave men and women with each scene offering a glimpse into what it was like to live in a particular time. Lasting about 15 minutes and one of the top attractions at Epcot, the best time to board your experience is later in the day as morning crowds tend to head there first.

Soarin’ Around the World

Want to explore the sights and sounds of California as you hang glide 40 feet in the air? Soarin’ uses a 180-degree IMAX projection dome that wows with the beauty of the Golden State. A FastPass is recommended for most attractions at Epcot, especially this ride. This is because wait times can be extremely long, though if you go towards the end of the night the wait is more or less 30 minutes.

Test Track Presented by Chevrolet

Who doesn’t want to design their own custom car? Test Track is the fastest ride out of all the attractions at Epcot and Disney parks, reaching a top speed of 65 MPH. There are dozens of colors, body shapes, and options to choose from to increase personalization. To pass the driving test, remember to design a car that handles and maneuvers well, has good fuel efficiency, and awesome power. This is a great interactive attraction with a cool aesthetic. The single rider line tends to move more quickly, but as a group, you should plan to go first thing in the morning or late in the evening because the wait time is typically shorter. If you love adrenaline, this ride is perfect for you and definitely one of the top attractions at Epcot.

The Seas with Nemo & Friends

This attraction uses a variety of technology with cool scenes that include a fish chase and projections of fish into the Living Seas’ aquarium. Kids will love this Epcot experience more than adults; it helps that it’s a shorter ride with a shorter line—which is great for children. A trip to the aquarium after the ride is a must!

The American Adventure

This is probably one of the favorite and most popular attractions at Epcot. It uses Audio-Animatronics in a montage of stage shows showing key moments in American history. With Ben Franklin and Mark Twain guiding the way, the scenes are highly detailed and impressive as they rise from the stage. The theater is huge and there’s never really a line, but there is a 45-minute gap between show times.
