The Best Wizarding World of Harry Potter Orlando Rides
The Harry Potter World at Universal is filled with thrills and chills. There are a total of five rides, and all of them are worthy of being fan favorites:
- Hagrid’s Magical Creatures — Given the fact that the actor who played Hagrid is no longer with us, this ride has become especially important at Universal Studios. But it certainly doesn’t rest on its laurels, as it’s our favorite roller coaster in the entire Harry Potter universe!
- Flight of the Hippogriff — The hippogriff is one of the most memorable creatures in the world of Harry Potter, and this is the closest thing that you’ll ever get to seeing a real one. Jump on board this fun little roller coaster as you take a trip around Hagrid’s pumpkin patch and beyond.
- Hogwarts Express — To keep in the spirit of the Harry Potter movies, the Hogwarts Express ride transports you from one park to another. It’s not the most exciting ride on this list, but the park-to-park transfer makes it a must-see (or should we say must-ride?).
- Forbidden Journey — This ride takes place in the huge Hogwarts Castle, which alone makes it worth the price of admission. This 4D simulation ride puts you right in the middle of the action and doesn’t let up until the end.
- Escape from Gringotts — Hold on. Could it be that there’s an even more exciting ride than the Forbidden Journey? The Escape from Gringotts blends real roller coaster action with simulation ride technology to truly give you the best of both worlds.
The Best Wizarding World of Harry Potter Orlando Eateries
The Harry Potter area at Universal is filled with tons of delicious food and beverages. Here are five of our favorite places to grab a bite to eat or knock back a tasty drink:
· Leaky Cauldron — In the muggle World of Harry Potter, British pubs are all the rage. The Leaky Cauldron restaurant takes this idea to the extreme with an amazing atmosphere and delicious food.
· Three Broomsticks — The rustic charm and cozy atmosphere of Three Broomsticks make it a favorite of Harry Potter fans. Be sure to wash down your order with butterbeer or pumpkin juice.
· Honeydukes — If you or anyone in your party has a sweet tooth, then you don’t want to miss a quick stop at Honeydukes. Just be aware that this sweet shop is extremely popular, so you may need to brave some crowds.
· The Hopping Pot — If you’re looking for a tasty beverage—either alcoholic or non-alcoholic — then The Hopping Pot is where you want to be. It’s a great place to stop before or after you visit one of your favorite Harry Potter attractions.
· Hog’s Head — This pub is attached to the Three Broomsticks restaurant and is the perfect place to unwind. It may be geared more toward adults, but there are plenty of different drinks for the kids, too.

- Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes — Even if you have just a little bit of mischief inside you, you’re going to love this shop. There are tons of trickster-like treats that you can get for yourself or give to your favorite little mischief-maker.
- Ollivander’s Wand Shop — Nothing screams Harry Potter quite like selecting the perfect interactive wand. You may feel as if you’re choosing the wand, but we all know that it’s really choosing you.
- Eeylops Owl Emporium — The story of Harry Potter couldn’t have begun without the help of Hedwig. This adorable little shop has tons of items that you and Harry’s favorite owl will absolutely love.
- Magical Menagerie — If you’re interested in taking home one of Harry Potter’s many amazing creatures, this is the place for you. You can find plush toys of all types, from snakes and pixies to ferrets and owls.
