What are some of our favorite Disney holiday treats?

Who doesn’t like a tasty snack during the holidays? Here at World Class VIP, we’ll not only give you a tour of Disney, but we’ll also take you on a culinary tour that will wow your palettes and delight the senses! Bakeries have gone all-out to create the very best Disney holiday treats to make your experience one you’ll remember for years to come.

1.    Gingerbread Caramel Cookie Sandwich

This tasty Disney holiday treat can be found at Karamell Kücha in the Germany Pavilion at Epcot. It starts with a base layer of gingerbread, followed by a tasty, buttercream frosting and a delectable Werther’s caramel sauce. Another gingerbread cookie forms the top layer of “bread”, and the texture of the cookies is soft and moist. This combination of sweet and spicy is sure to please even the pickiest of palettes, and is a must-have for your time at Epcot.

2.    Holiday Red and Green Oreo Bonbons

This dessert is so good, it made its way back from last year’s menu! Bakers at Disney layered a delectable cookies and cream mousse over an Oreo base. The entire cookie is then covered in red and green holiday sprinkles. Garnished with a dollop of chocolate frosting, this is a holiday treat you won’t want to miss! It’s available at the Beach Club Marketplace at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and at The Marker at Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.

3.    Peppermint Crème Cheese Mousse

Another dessert we found tantalizing was the Peppermint Crème Cheese Mousse. This features a generous portion of the mousse drizzled with a red peppermint glaze, crushed Oreo “dirt”, and a pringle-shaped wafer of chocolate for you to enjoy. It also has crumbled pieces of candy canes sprinkled over it, and it’s as tasty as it is pretty. This dessert can be found at the Satu’li Canteen in the Animal Kingdom theme park.

4.    Celebration of Autumn Cupcake

Also found in Animal Kingdom is the Celebration of Autumn cupcake. This features a moist, melt-in-your-mouth pumpkin cupcake with cream cheese toffee filling and a cinnamon-flavored frosting. The top of the cupcake is decorated with a mound of green icing to form a hill, with a tree of life decoration on top. Garnished with tiny candy pumpkins and autumn leaf sprinkles, this one is sure to be a hit with your family.

5.    Red Velvet Whoopie Pie

This one is found in Disney’s Hollywood studios at the Backlot Express and the Trolley Car Café. It’s one of our favorites, and includes two moist, rich layers of red velvet cake cradling a generous dollop of cream cheese frosting. This holiday whoopie pie is about the size of a hamburger, and is good for either sharing or for consuming by yourself; whichever you prefer.

6.    Frozen Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate

This beverage is exactly as delicious as it sounds. Available at the ABC Commissary, the Backlot Express, Rosie’s All-American Café, and PizzeRizzo, this drink will definitely shatter former expectations and deliver on flavor! Get ready to tantalize your taste buds as you sip down this delicious, sweet and salty drink. It’s also available in alcoholic form for the adults, with a Black Cherry Bourbon giving it that extra kick.

7.    Hot Chocolate Flight

Speaking of alcoholic drinks, this one is sure to please the grown-ups in the room. It’s available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Min and Bill’s Dockside Diner, and Fairfax Fare. It comes in a set of three drinks, featuring a Hot Chocolate Martini, a Bailey’s Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate, and a Black Cherry Bourbon Hot Chocolate. It’s an alcoholic Hot Chocolate sampler, and it’s worth every penny!

8.    Mickey Cinnamon Roll

Circling back to treats for kids, this one is a shareable side found in the Magic Kingdom’s Main Street Bakery! It consists of a delectable array of three cinnamon rolls arranged together in the shape of a Mickey Mouse head. It’s then drizzled with festive red and green cream cheese frosting, and served warm and fresh for you and your family to enjoy.

 9.    Twice Upon A Cupcake

This is a unique holiday cupcake that you won’t want to miss! It’s made of not only one, but THREE different types of cake – vanilla, red velvet, and funfetti. It’s every bit as delicious as it sounds. The top consists of a funfetti cone decorated like a Christmas tree – complete with green vanilla buttercream frosting and tiny pieces of candy for lights.

As if that’s not cool enough, Disney bakers placed a neat little surprise into the center of the cupcake. There’s a hidden layer of red velvet cake in the shape of a Mickey Mouse head in the center of it! To get the best view of this gem, cut the cupcake completely in half from top to bottom.

Then, you get to see the rich, moist layer of red velvet that serves as Mickey’s head, and lends itself as a tasty treat in the center of an already delectable dessert.

 10.     Santa Mickey Piñata

Disney placed its own twist on the classic Hispanic party tradition by creating a ball of chocolate for you to break open! If you loved piñatas, or even Kinder Eggs as a kid, you’re sure to love this Disney holiday treat. It consists of a hollow, dark chocolate ball decorated with embellishments that look like Santa’s coat and hat. It sits on a bed of small, white chocolate balls and holiday sprinkles.

When broken open with a mallet, there are several pieces of gourmet, chocolate-covered marshmallows to enjoy! You can find this unique item at The Ganachery in Disney Springs.

 11.     Peppermint Bark Nachos

Also in Disney Springs is the Peppermint Bark Nachos from Marketplace Snacks. It’s an imaginative dessert with pieces of colorful waffle cone “nachos” and delicious chocolate and vanilla ice cream that serves as the “cheese”.  And of course, what version of loaded nachos doesn’t come with a few extras?

These nachos are garnished with whipped cream, M&M’s, candy cane bits, holiday sprinkles, and bits of peppermint bark. If you’re a fan of crunchy foods, this one is sure to please.

 12.     Calavera Cookie

While you’re in Disney Springs, be sure to check out Gideon’s Bakehouse, which is celebrating the Day of the Dead throughout the entire month of November! Their decadent cookies are world-famous; and their new cookie, the Calavera, is sure to delight. This one is based on a chocolate churro, and features two rich chocolate chip cookies, a sweet dulce de leche filling, and a savory mix of cinnamon, sugar, and chili powder.

 13.      Santa Hot Crepe

If you’re a fan of crepes, this is one you won’t want to miss! Found in the AristoCrepes restaurant in Disney Springs, this delicious seasonal favorite is a sweet dessert crepe filled with an eggnog custard. An extra touch of whipped cream and chocolate sauce serves to complete the ensemble. If you’re a fan of eggnog, this is one you HAVE to try.

 14.       Holiday Parfait

This one can be found in Amorette’s Patisserie, and is a layered, decadent Disney holiday treat. It has a creamy, white chocolate mousse made with Bourbon, decadent maple chocolate ganache, a cranberry cherry panna cotta, and a layer of chocolate chiffon cake. The top is adorable as well – garnished with fluffy meringue Christmas trees and candied pralines.

 15.       Santa Mickey Dome Cake

If you’re a fan of single-portion cakes, you’ll love the Santa Mickey Dome Cake. The inside is made of a chocolate chiffon cake encasing layers of dark chocolate and white chocolate mousse. The outside is decorated in a red-shiny outer layer, a Santa “belt”, and two iconic mickey mouse ears on top, covered in holiday sprinkles.
