Accommodations
If you plan to make Disney hotel reservations to have a more comfortable stay for your trip, you can book your rooms as early as 499 days in advance. Thus, reservations are now open for arrival scheduled anytime between January 1, 2022, to July 1, 2022. While most of the Disney world resort hotels are available for vacation package accommodations, a few select ones are unavailable as their opening dates have yet to be confirmed. - All-Star Sports Resort
- Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo House)
- Boardwalk Inn
- Port Orleans Resort (French Quarter)
- Port Orleans Resort (Riverside)
As always, Disney World offers multiple package options to cater to your needs, budget limitations, and preferences. If you want to stay in a Disney world resort hotel, you can choose from value, moderate, and deluxe resorts. Alternatively, if you are traveling with a larger group or want to have additional amenities, you can rent a deluxe villa instead.
Theme Park Ticket
When it comes to a Disney World vacation, the theme park ticket is a must to enjoy all the sights and attractions. The base ticket can come with your choice of length ranging from two to 10 days. The Park Hopper add-on can be purchased to visit more than one park per day, but take note that the ability to hop around parks will be regulated due to Disney’s attendance limitations. The Park Hopper Plus add-on, on the other hand, also grants you entry to the Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, or any of the golf courses of your choice.
Note that everyone staying in the same room must avail of the same Disney World 2022 package options, including the ticket. If you do not get the Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus options, you can only visit one park per day. To ensure you get to visit all the parks, including Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, allot at least one day for each so that you can explore them thoroughly!
Magical Extras
Much like any of Disney’s other packages, the Disney World 2022 packages all come with Magical Extras to make your experience even more memorable. You can head over to the Disney site to check out the extras that come with your booking. These include vouchers to Disney’s golf courses, discounts on various food establishments, and many others.
The Disney Park Pass system will still be used in 2022, so make sure to reserve your tickets early and select the parks you will visit each day. Likewise, Disney dining plans will remain suspended for next year due to attendance caps and physical distancing limits.
When to Visit Disney World in 2022?
Given the circumstances regarding the pandemic, many are wondering about the best time to visit Disney World. Since the park is currently limiting its attendance to only 35% of its capacity, its 50th anniversary, scheduled to begin on October 1, 2021, will run for 18 months. While Disney has not yet released the exact timeline of festivities for the anniversary, many believe that the major events will not start until 2022 due to delays from the closure last year.
Some of the attractions that many are looking forward to would be the TRON Lightcycle Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. While the release dates have yet to be finalized, it is possible that one of the rides will be finished by 2022, and both will be fully functional in early 2023. However, you can expect major celebration events to start rolling out next year, so you will surely have a grand time in any of Disney’s parks.
