The Disney World app provides you with a detailed map of the entire park. This functionality, plus several options that we’ll get into below, will allow you to create a basic or detailed itinerary of your upcoming visit. You can also share this itinerary through the app’s Family & Friends option, which will allow you to organize your trip with your loved ones more easily prior to reaching the park.

Purchase Theme Park Tickets

The My Disney Experience app wants to make every part of your Orlando vacation as easy as it can possibly be. You can start off by purchasing theme park tickets directly from the app just as you would on Disney’s website. In addition to single-day passes, you can sign up for multi-day passes or even choose a travel package that includes a Disney resort and other items.

Make Your FastPass+ Attractions

First off, it’s important to note that the FastPass+ program is temporarily halted due to social distancing needs caused by the coronavirus. However, since the Disney World app usually allows you to make your initial three FastPass+ selections up to 30 or 60 days in advance, it’s definitely worth mentioning. Once the pandemic threat is over, this will be added back into the application.

There are several Disney resorts available, each with their own special features and personality. The app allows you to book Disney hotel reservations and make changes prior to your trip, as long as you do so in the timeframe that was indicated when you signed up. Each resort is very detailed in the app, so you’ll be able to choose the one you like most quite easily.

Check Wait Times and Showtimes

It’s no secret that wait times for attractions at all theme parks can get quite long. Although the current limited capacity due to COVID-19 his helping to alleviate lines in many cases, it’s still best to know how long it’s taking visitors to get into each attraction. Find Character Greeting Locations

Restrictions are currently in place for character meet-and-greets, but there are still photo opportunities throughout the park. Some of these characters appear somewhat haphazardly in various areas, but many of them have specific greeting locations and times.
