Disney World in Orlando has tons of holiday celebrations every year to satisfy every Disney fan and casual visitor. With so many holiday-themed events year-round, it can be difficult to decide when to take a vacation to Disney World. Valentine’s Day

Love is definitely in the air at Disney World when Valentine’s Day comes around. Order some flowers and champagne for your loved one, take a cruise starting at Disney Springs, surprise your significant other with a spa treatment, and top the day off with fireworks from the observation deck. You can even schedule a proposal package at Cinderella’s Royal Table if the time is right.

St. Patrick’s Day

With St. Patrick’s Day comes several different holiday-themed treats. You’ll find creme brûlée, shamrock cream puffs, Irish whiskey chocolate squares, Irish cream milkshakes, and much more. You can also head down to Disney Springs for Irish libations and live entertainment that’s been imported from Ireland.

Easter

At Disney World, Easter is a yearly favorite for children and adults alike. There’s a special egg hunt as part of the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. An Easter brookie basket at the Coral Reef Restaurant, milk chocolate bunnies filled with a bourbon chocolate drink, and more. Bring your family and your sweet tooth.

Mother’s Day

Disney World is a wonderful place to celebrate the most important woman in your child’s life. Several restaurants have special Mother’s Day dining options, and certain Walt Disney World resort hotels will feature specialty desserts. You’ll also find several different types of scented products that make perfect gifts for mothers of all ages.

Father’s Day

Not long after celebrating the mothers of the world, it’ll be time to give the fathers their special day as well. Disney World features activities for every type of dad, whether they enjoy golfing, fishing, or simply enjoying a great meal. A few restaurants even offer special menus that will fit any father’s culinary preferences and appetite.

Gay Days

This week-long celebration of the LGBTQ+ community may not be a holiday, per se, but it’s certainly treated as one. As a part of Gay Days Orlando, which involves tens of thousands of people every year, attendees often designate a day to visit the original Magic Kingdom Park. Many of these Disney fans and community supporters will choose another day to visit the other three parks.

Halloween

The Disney After Hours Halloween Boo Bash has replaced Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and is a wonderful way to celebrate the scariest holiday of the year. This three-hour, Halloween-themed celebration takes place at the Magic Kingdom and features tons of spooky decorations, party music, and special characters. Guests are encouraged to come in costume and there will be plenty of food items, candy, attractions, and other entertainment.

Christmas

The Magic Kingdom Very Merriest After-Hours event replaces Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and is perfect for families looking to enjoy this lovely holiday at their favorite theme park. This incredible celebration features a parade, firework show, special character appearances, holiday treats, and more. You’ll also be given access to attractions and dining that will keep you and your family very busy.

New Year’s Eve

If you want to round out the year in style, the New Year’s Eve celebration will certainly do the trick. You’ll find events scattered around all four of the theme parks that include everything from DJ dance parties and great music to an exciting countdown and – everyone’s favorite – a fireworks spectacular. It’s a wonderful way to close out one year and begin a new one once again.
