The Epcot Food and Wine Festival is still going on!

2020 hasn’t been a great year so far, but there is still time to change that! If you want to kick start your holiday season with some much-needed excitement, you must plan a visit to the EPCOT theme park at Walt Disney World!

Despite the current topsy-turvy situation, Disney did not hold itself back from making the best out of it. EPCOT Food and Wine Festival started on the 15th of July this year and will run through the 22nd of November. This means that if you could not find the time to visit this annual festival yet, you still have a chance to taste the best cuisines and fine wines from around the world.

Though you cannot travel around the world at this time, you can still sample food and drinks from six continents! So, grab this opportunity to sip some cocktails and savor some world-class cuisine at the EPCOT annual International Food and Wine Festival.

Things to remember

This will be the 25th consecutive year of the EPCOT annual International Food and Wine Festival. There are certain changes, though, that the visitors will witness.

To enter, guests should have the following two things:

  • Valid theme park admission
  • Theme park reservation in the new Disney Park Pass Reservation System

The festival is being called “A Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival” and will have as many as 20 signature global marketplaces spaced out around the theme park to please your taste buds, including Africa, Appleseed Orchard, Earth Eats Hosted by Impossible, Hawaii, Hops & Barley, Shimmering Ships, Islands of the Caribbean and more. What’s more, the appetizing meals will be curated by some of the top Disney chefs accompanied by other guest chefs.

Some popular musical acts, such as “Eat to the Beat Concert Series,” have been stopped as part of Walt Disney World’s modified operations to maintain the norms of physical distancing. Nonetheless, local EPCOT entertainment, like the JAMMitors (a trio of custodians that entertain crowds with musical comedy by banging on trash cans), Mariachi Cobre (one of the best-known mariachi bands in the United States), and more will still be there to let the people tap their feet and clap their hands.

This year, Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Squeak scavenger hunt has also returned. Kids (and adults) should pull up their socks to search for 15 little Remy statuettes. Maps and stickers can be purchased from select merchandise locations at Port of Entry, Pin Central, and World Traveler at International Gateway.

To double the festivities, Disney has also clubbed this year’s Food and Wine Festival with Flower and Garden Festival. The Flower and Garden Festival had started in March but was cut short due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Visitors will again be able to please their sight with luscious greenery displays and the beautiful topiary of everyone’s favorite, Remy.

This time, Disney will arouse all your senses at the same time. You can smell and taste the delectable delicacies, listen and dance to the beats, and view and feel the fantastic scenery. Can it get any better than that?
