Get on the Rise of Resistance Ride fast!

The Star Wars Disney World adventure has quickly become one of the theme park’s most popular areas. Meticulously designed to make you feel as if you’re a part of the expansive Star Wars universe, it’s an exquisite sight to behold.

As part of the Star Wars Disney World experience, the Rise of the Resistance ride places you in the middle of the struggle as you join Ray and the rest of the rebel fighters against the First Order. This breathtaking attraction is entertaining and exhilarating, making it a must-see the next time you visit Disney World.

At the present time, you must obtain a boarding pass for a virtual queue in order to enter the ride. We’re going to explain how this works and then take a look at how a private Disney VIP tour can help you along.

Joining a Boarding Group is Required

The Rise of the Resistance ride has been described as a game changer by both Disney Imagineers and many fans. In addition to using four different ride systems, this attraction introduced a very specific virtual queue system as the only way to obtain a boarding pass due to its high demand. Signing up to be part of a Boarding Group is only required for the Rise of the Resistance ride and is an extremely easy task to accomplish.

Once you sign up for the virtual queue, you simply return once you’ve been notified and take your place in line. So far, this has proven to be extremely effective and convenient, allowing guests to easily enjoy the ride and experience more of Disney World itself. Not only does this significantly reduce the time that you’re standing at the ride waiting to get on, but the process has set the stage for future attractions that are expected to experience a very level of high demand.

What to Do Prior Before You Arrive

The good news is that signing up for a Boarding Group is an extremely easy task. What you’ll need to do first is download the My Disney Experience app from your smartphone’s app store. We suggest that you do this before you leave for the park so that it’s ready to go once you arrive. If you already have the app, which many of you reading this probably do, just make sure that you have the most recent version so that there aren’t any hitches along the way.

One big note is to make sure you add everyone in your party to the app’s Family and Friends list so that they can all be part of the same Boarding Group. Then, access the proper option in the menu and sign up!

When You Should Arrive at the Park

When the Rise of the Resistance ride first opened up, there was only one allotted time to get into the virtual queue, which was when the park opened at 10 a.m., so it was recommended that a person would arrive at rope drop. Due to the coronavirus, however, a second time has been added. You can now sign up at either 10:00 a.m. or 2 p.m. While this may sound as if you can sleep in and arrive late to the park, the virtual queue does fill up pretty quickly, so it’s best that you arrive early so that you’ll have two chances instead only one. Given the limited capacity of Disney World right now, you probably won’t have any problem getting in.

After You’ve Joined a Boarding Group

Once you’ve joined a Boarding Group for the Rise of the Resistance ride, you can now breath a sign of relief and plan your day around it. You can now head over to another priority attraction on your list and get a few things out of the way before it’s time to return. If you sign up to go in the afternoon, then you can get a bite to eat before taking your place in line. The notification to return will be sent one hour in advance, so it’s advised that you probably don’t want to leave the park just in case you might not get back in time. Trust us, this is one ride you don’t want to miss!
