Universal Halloween Horror Nights are just around the corner!

Universal Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando has become one of the theme park’s most exciting events for the entire year! In fact, many attendees wait until this time of year to make their annual trek just so they can join in on the scares and festivities. From the multiple haunted houses, including the returning Stranger Things house, to scary events and people in costume, there is absolutely something for everyone.

As always, there are a few things that you should prepare to ensure that you have the absolutely best time possible. So, without further ado, let’s go over a few simple details that you should be aware of while making plans to visit Universal Halloween Horror Nights this year.

Know the Dates and Times

In order to avoid heavy crowds, Universal Halloween Horror Nights have been stretched out from early September until a couple of days after Halloween. Also, keep in mind that the event begins at 6:30 pm and will go until 1:00 or 2:00 am.

Arrive at Universal Halloween Horror Nights Early

Whenever you visit any theme park, a common tip that you’ll find is to arrive early so that you can squeeze in more attractions, events, rides, and even food. For Universal Halloween Horror Nights, this is even more important because of the added attractions, so they’ve been known to let guests in a full half-hour earlier than advertised. Since there is so much going on, this half-hour can definitely count.

Leave the Young Kids at Home

Although much of the park is geared toward kids during the day, the Universal Halloween Horror Nights event is not geared for young children. The park allows you to use your own discretion, but because of the frightening nature of some of the attractions, it is recommended that children under the age of 13 be left at home or in the hotel with adult supervision for this particular event.

Ditch the Halloween Costumes

An important thing to remember for Halloween Horror Nights, especially if you love to dress up for the holiday, is that costumes are not allowed for either children or adults. So, even if you attend on Halloween night, keep in mind that you will need to leave them at home. Trust us when we say that there will be plenty to enjoy without the need to dress up.

Watch Out for Street Creatures

Even those who are fearful of things that go bump in the night will often attend Halloween Horror Nights because they actually love to be scared. In addition to the haunted houses and the scary attractions, be aware that there will be street creatures, which means employees dressed up, that will attempt to frighten you as you make your way through the park. However, if you want to avoid them, you can do so by sticking to the sidewalks, where they will leave you alone.
