What do we recommend watching on Disney+?

Disney+ is a great streaming service that offers the best of all of the Disney Worlds wrapped up in one place. No matter what part of the Disney universe you’re interested in, there’s something for you on Disney+. Here are some of the shows we love—the best shows on Disney Plus.

Best Shows on Disney Plus for Marvel Fans!

Several of the best shows on Disney Plus come from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or MCU. The Marvel movies, such as Ironman, the Avengers, and Spiderman, have huge legions of Marvel fans and are extremely successful. Marvel has also produced shows that are consistently highly rated and people agree that they are some of the best shows on Disney Plus.

We Love Ms. Marvel!

One of the most popular new Marvel TV shows on Disney Plus streaming is Ms. Marvel. Ms. Marvel has been getting great reviews and high ratings. Critics say it is one of the best new Marvel shows, with a strong female lead and an amazing supporting cast.

Carol Danvers, the original Ms. Marvel, was created in 1968 by the comic book company. Ms. Marvel later became Captain Marvel.

Check out Moon Knight!

If you aren’t a Ms. Marvel fan, there are other Marvel Cinematic Universe shows on the list of best shows on Disney Plus. Another of our favorite Marvel shows on Disney is Moon Knight. Moon Knight is a soldier, agent, and superhero with dissociative identity disorder who moves in and out of reality. The show is exciting and fast-paced, with lots of action.

If you loved the Orphan Black series from BBC America, which starred Tatiana Maslany, and you’re a Marvel fan, you need to take a look at She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Maslany plays both the She-Hulk character and her alter ego, Jennifer Walters. She focused her law practice on the protection of superheroes and ends up becoming one herself when her cousin Bruce Banner’s blood contaminates her own.

In addition to several standalone shows from the MCU, there are also a couple of Disney Plus shows based on characters you have already seen in movies. One of the most popular of these shows is Loki, based on Norse mythology and the Marvel character. Loki is brilliantly played by the same actor who portrayed him in the Thor movies: Tom Hiddleston. Another Marvel show from the Avengers group is WandaVision, based on Vision and the Scarlet Witch, who also appeared in several Avengers movies.

If you want to look at a Marvel series with an amazing supporting cast, check out Agents of Shield. You may remember Shield from the Avengers, Ironman, and Spiderman movies, but it was also a stand-alone show for seven seasons, and it’s still one of our favorites.

Not A Marvel Fan? No Worries.

If you aren’t a Marvel fan, there are plenty of other amazing shows to watch on Disney Plus. One of the reasons many people joined the latest Disney channel endeavor is to take advantage of the streaming service on Disney Plus to view all of the Star Wars content you could possibly want. There are numerous Star Wars shows, as well as the films, available in the Star Wars Universe.

One of the most watched shows on Disney Plus features Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi. While not all the fans of the Star Wars Universe loved the first three movies in the nine-movie series, Ewan McGregor won high praise for his portrayal of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader’s mentor, Obi-Wan.

See the Hype around The Mandalorian

Another member of the Star Wars family of shows available on Disney Plus is The Mandalorian, which is a show about the group of warriors that Boba Fett, one of the original characters from the middle three Star Wars movies, comes from. While Boba Fett had a small role in the movies themselves, The Mandalorian shows the world Boba Fett grew up in.

This is an adult-themed show, but many children love the “baby Yoda” character, called “The Child” in the series. In fact, so many children loved the character that Baby Yoda became one of the most asked-for toys for the last two Christmases.

Join the Bad Batch!

Bad Batch is an animated series also in the Star Wars Universe. In the second and third films in the Star Wars series, there were clone troopers that the Empire made to work as a strike force, based on DNA from a superior fighter, Boba Fett’s dad, Jango. The Bad Batch idea is a strike force of clone troopers who have emotions and are individualized.

This strike force is missing the chip in their brains that creates a hive mind, and the fans of both The Clone Wars and Revenge of the Sith loved the individualization of the clone trooper characters. The Bad Batch series was named that way because this division of clone troopers was considered a throwaway since they could think and feel as individuals.

If you are a Star Wars fan, you have a lot of company. Almost 50% of the adult population has seen at least one of the Star Wars films over the last 40 years. Thanks to Disney Plus, you can binge any Star Wars movie or TV show you want from anywhere you are.

What Are Some Other Great Shows On Disney Plus?

Disney Plus doesn’t just have Marvel or Star Wars shows. There are plenty of other shows you can sink your teeth into.

Jeff Goldblum has acquired a cult following because of his roles in the Jurassic Park movie series, The Fly, and Independence Day. He has a documentary series on Disney Plus called The World According to Jeff Goldblum. In the series, he explores things that interest him, such as ice cream, tattoos, bicycles, and astronauts. Jeff Goldblum is his usual intelligent, quirky self, and the show has steadily risen in popularity.

Return to Gravity Falls

One of the most highly anticipated shows returning to Disney is Gravity Falls. The original Gravity Falls animated series began in 2012 and ended after the second season. However, the series attracted such a cult following that Disney decided to bring it back 10 years after it began. Gravity Falls is a mix of weirdness and comedy that many fans find utterly appealing.

If you have nature lovers in your family, you need to tune into National Geographic: Exploring Our World. These films can take you and your family to locations all over the world. Some of the most popular films in the Exploring Our World series include The Great Barrier Reef, Welcome to Earth (narrated by Will Smith), The Deepest Cave, Smoky Mountain Park Rangers, and Continent 7: Antarctica.

Disney built a huge reputation for its wildlife films in the 1960s and 1970s, and it has continued this tradition by pairing up with National Geographic for stunning visuals and sounds.

Overall, Disney Plus is a huge streaming platform with something for everyone in your family. The platform has shows for children, of course, but Disney Plus doesn’t forget the adults in the family either. Whether you want to step on board the Millenium Falcon, take a ride with Loki’s time jumps, or explore the sea creatures in Australia, Disney Plus has some amazing shows for you.
