What new attractions can you look forward to at Disney World?!

Fans of Disney World have a lot to look forward to at Disney World in 2021. Despite the ongoing global pandemic, Disney has decided to resume the production of new Disney attractions to enhance the adventures visitors can have!

These new Disney attractions were under construction, but things went downhill from the advent of the Coronavirus. The construction work was brought to a halt, disappointing many. However, now, the new Disney attractions are back in production, and we are excited about them!

New Disney Attractions: Construction Updates

Though you cannot experience these new Disney attractions right now, they’ll be ready for you to enjoy soon enough! Here are some details about the new attractions and what you can get excited for in 2021 and beyond!

Magic kingdom

Tron Lightcycle Run Roller Coaster: This roller coaster was announced at D23 Expo 2017 at the Anaheim Convention Center. The construction has now resumed in full swing. The track has been installed, and the show building exterior is up, too. Currently, the canopy is being installed. The estimated opening is in either Fall 2021 or Winter 2022.

EPCOT

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure: Following Remy through a working French kitchen, guests will be challenged to avoid dangers at every turn in a trackless vehicle. This new Disney attraction is accompanied by France Pavilion with huge shops, a crêpe restaurant, and a new Beauty and Beast Sing-Along. The construction is almost complete; however, the attraction is likely to open after the final touches in 2021.

Moana Journey of Water: This attraction will enable guests to interact with the magical living water in the future home of World Nature. Presently, the land is being cleared and leveled down. There is a lot to be done before guests can experience this attraction. The estimated opening is in 2022.

Play! Pavilion: This attraction was recently announced, and not much is known about it. There has not even been any visible work done yet besides the roof and some cosmetic work. Along with other digital experiences, Monorail Mark X attraction will be a part of this new attraction.

Space 220: Probably the coolest project in production now, this attraction will give guests the opportunity of dining in outer space. The restaurant will have spherical-shaped dining rooms with giant projection windows on them. The construction is almost finished, but the attraction is likely to open in early 2021.

Hollywood Studios

Roundup Rodeo BBQ: Roundup Rodeo BBQ is being constructed to give more dining options to the visitors; currently, Woody’s Lunch Box is the only restaurant in Toy Story Land. This Toy Story-themed food joint is to open in 2021 as the interior is still under construction.

Animal Kingdom

With zero live construction sites and projects, not much has been going on in the Animal Kingdom. There are some plans to upgrade the entrance though, due to the traffic in the parking lot which will be rerouted when complete.
