The Best Places to Cool Off on a Disney VIP Tour
Disney World is an absolutely wonderful place to visit at any time of the year. Families from around the globe love to visit Orlando for their very own Disney World vacation. But, thanks to the heat of the Florida sun, even the fall season can leave you hot and sweaty by the end of the day.
The good news is that you’ll have plenty of opportunities to get out of the sun for a little while because of the many indoor attractions at the park. Our Disney VIP tour guides know how to stay cool at Disney World, and they’ve picked some of their favorite attractions that will allow guests to take a break from the heat:
Hall of Presidents
If you’re looking for a place to cool off, you may want to start with the Hall of Presidents. An original, 25-minute short film is shown throughout the day, giving you the perfect opportunity to relax away from the Florida heat. You’ll also be able to see audio-animatronic replicas of every President of the United States. Not only is this very relaxing, but you might just learn a thing or two about the formation of the country.
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
Although the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover is outside, you’ll be seated in an elevated tram that’s protected from the sun. This is a 10-minute tour of Tomorrowland, where you get to experience an imagined mass transit system of the future. While on the tram, you’ll listen to a narrated tour that will go behind the scenes of multiple Disney World attractions.
Carousel of Progress
The Carousel of Progress is one of the most interesting attractions in all of Disney World. This is a classic audio-animatronic show that takes an American family through four generations to show how technology is able to transform their lives. As you watch, the family will move from a pre-electric era, then into the use of electricity and more modern conveniences, and finally to high-tech devices that we often use every single day.
Haunted Mansion
As everyone probably knows by now, Haunted Mansion has been a mainstay at Disney World for decades. No matter how many times you go, it never gets old.
This slow, dark ride is as spooky as it is relaxing. If you want to duck out of the heat for a while and get a fright or two, this is the place. The ride contains mildly frightening scenes, but nothing gory at all.
Country Bear Jamboree
The Country Bear Jamboree has always been a favorite of Disney World visitors. If you want to cool off for a bit and enjoy some fun, silly music, there’s no place better than this.
The 16-minute show features a total of 18 audio-animatronic hillbilly bears, and it’s amazing to see. The bears have been around since 1971 and have been performing daily ever since. You definitely don’t want to miss the show.
It’s a Small World
It’s a Small World is another classic Disney World attraction that’s fun for kids and adults of all ages. Many people don’t realize that this was originally created for New York’s World Fair in 1964. Considered to be a Walt Disney masterpiece, this peaceful boat ride is filled with fun music and adorable dancing figurines.
The Best Ways to Cool Off on a Disney VIP Tour
Learning how to stay cool at Disney World is important if you want to enjoy the park for as long as possible. The Disney VIP tour guides at World Class VIP are always looking for ways to make your VIP experience even better. To get you started, here are some of the best ways that you can cool off during a Disney VIP tour:
Arrive As Early As Possible
If you want to max out your time when it’s cool, then you should arrive at the park as soon as it opens. An even better strategy is to stay at a Disney Resort Hotel, which will allow you to enter the park an hour earlier than the official opening time. If you sign up for a private VIP tour, your guide will help you squeeze as much fun out of that extra hour as possible.
Ask Your Guide for Help
Speaking of your VIP tour guide, he or she will serve as a wonderful resource for information throughout your visit. This includes where you can go to cool off for a while. Your guide will know all of the indoor attractions, restaurants, gift shops, and other areas where you can find some cover or shade. They’ll also be able to take you to places to pick up a beverage.
Take a Break as Needed
We understand that you want to get as much out of your Disney World trip as you possibly can. We totally understand because that’s one of our goals, too.
Even if you take just a 20-minute break every few hours, you can cool off and recharge. This is also a great way to enjoy each ride even more because you’re not bogged down by sweating and discomfort.
Grab Beverages Regularly
Everyone knows it’s important to stay hydrated to ensure good health. But when you’re distracted by all the sights, sounds, and activities found at Disney World, it might slip your mind. This can be very dangerous, so it’s important that you make sure that you’re drinking enough water or similar beverages throughout the day. You can even ask your guide to remind you about drinking water every once in a while.
Do Outdoor Stuff First
A good strategy on how to stay cool at Disney World is to do the outdoor stuff first. In other words, spend the first few hours visiting the attractions that either take place outdoors or have a line outside. This will keep you in the sun early on, when it isn’t quite as hot. Then, you’ll be able to focus on other things throughout the day.
Stick Around Until Closing
Disney closes at 7:00 p.m. every evening. Although much of the day is quite warm, things start to cool off around 6:00 p.m. That means you have about an hour at the end of your day when the weather is a lot more relaxing. If you stick around until closing, you’ll be able to enjoy the cooler weather for just a bit longer.
Visit a Disney Restaurant
Although there’s outside seating in many of Disney World’s restaurants, most of what you find takes place outside. If you’re looking to duck out of the heat for an hour or two, a restaurant is a perfect idea. These air-conditioned eateries present a wonderful opportunity to take a quick break from the heat.
