Universal Studios Epic Universe—Summer 2025
Epic Universe is the talk of the town (especially Super Nintendo World), and there’s no doubt that it’ll become an even bigger topic as we get closer to it. This incredibly large area will increase Universal Studios’ size to 750 acres, doubling the park’s size, and will be split into four amazing lands. Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast—Summer 2023
The mischievous minions from the Despicable Me universe have been causing problems in Minion Mayhem since 2012, but they’re poised to take over this summer. That’s when the Villain-Con Minion Blast opens up, along with a new dining location called Minion Café. This new ride will have you moving through various scenes as you use an interactive blaster to survive this wild adventure.
Halloween Horror Nights—Fall 2023 and 2024
Although Halloween Horror Nights has been around for quite a few years now, it always seems fresh. This fan-favorite, separately ticketed event is a great way to spend your nights during the fall season. If you have any friends or family members who haven’t been before, take them along and enjoy the frights and screams together.
Velocicoaster—Summer 2021
It seems like just yesterday that some kind of triceratops attraction was sitting dormant on the spot where the Velocicoaster now chills and thrills hundreds of people every day. That’s probably because this new coaster just replaced the old attraction in the summer of 2021. This is the fastest roller coaster of all the Universal Studios theme parks, so be sure not to miss it.
Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure—Summer 2019
As one of the most popular characters in the Harry Potter series, it seems natural that Hagrid should have his own theme park ride. This state-of-the-art, family-friendly roller coaster is a thrill every second that you’re on it. Perhaps the best part of this ride is that its detailed and lifelike animatronic figure was created with the assistance of actor Robbie Coltrane before he sadly passed away.
